The Neighbor comes in different classes with different abilities. Secret Neighbor even describes itself as being like The Thing in the sense that you are trying to deceive supposed allies.

The problem is that one of the six players is secretly that evil Neighbor, who must set traps and use gadgets (“bear traps, a secret control room, smoke bombs,” etc.) to capture the other players. The premise is that six players have to sneak into a house in order to rescue an innocent neighbor that they believe is trapped in the malevolent Neighbor’s locked basement. Secret Neighbor is a cartoonish multiplayer social horror game that exists as part of the larger Hello Neighbor franchise. We first received indication that Secret Neighbor would arrive on Switch last month, when a rating for the game appeared out of Taiwan.

#SECRET NEIGHBOR SWITCH REVIEW PS4#
The game will launch first on PS4 and iOS on April 29, then come to Switch in summer. I give Secret Neighbor on the Nintendo Switch a very solid 4 ? a good all round game, great to play with friends. At last, tinyBuild has announced that Secret Neighbor is coming to Nintendo Switch, in addition to PlayStation 4 and iOS. To summarise my thoughts of Secret Neighbor on the Nintendo Switch then, out if the two I would probably go for the xbox version purely because I am more comfortable with that system, but bring able to take the game on the go (as long as there’s internet) really does appeal to me, overall I thought it worked really well on the Switch system. The soundtrack was really good with eerily dramatic music to add to the feel, the in game sound effects were also good with everything sounding as it all should making the feel if the game sound good. To compare graphics to the Xbox version wouldn’t be fair as it is a more powerful system, however to be fair in my opinion the Switch more than holds it own and the game looked really good when running, I personally didn’t see any issues with any frame dropping or anything like that and was quite impressed to be fair how good it actually looked. You can play on your own with the rest of the team filled with randoms and it’s still a fun game to play but bringing friends into it brings a whole different aspect to the game. I love the whole betrayal side of the game think it works really well and makes the game alot of fun to play especially with friends. To give a quick recap of the game in general you play as one of the adventurous kids of the neighbourhood looking to infiltrate the house, however one of the group is the actual Neighbor you are hiding from disguised as one of the children. The Nintendo Switch version carries on the mantra really well, If anything I felt the game seemed more suited to the Switch, thought it played really well with the social aspect and played to the Switch’s strengths. I loved Secret Neighbor on the Xbox, thought it did the whole horror stealth thing really well and the multiplayer aspect really added more to the game.
